It's August and we all scream for ice cream -- the incomparable Wheeler's Black Label Vegan Ice Cream! We'll make ice cream before your eyes, and everyone will get a free tasting!

Our presenter will be Wheeler del Torro, founder and owner of Wheeler's Frozen Dessert Company, and author of the recently released book, The Vegan Scoop. The folks at Wheeler's microcreamery are not just ice cream makers, they are ice cream designers, creating a seemingly unlimited number of flavors, both traditional and highly exotic and original, using a base of soy, coconut, rice or almond milk.

Wheeler del Torro learned to create his delicious, healthy vegan ice cream in Paris, inspired by the great Parisian Berthillon ice cream shop. He has traveled the world exploring cultures, languages, people and food, which has allowed him to stretch his culinary skills beyond traditional thinking. Wheeler will share with us the history of how he got involved in ice cream, desserts, and the vegan culture, his work in catering, and his adventures touring with several performers.

Wheeler's book, "The Vegan Scoop, 150 Recipes for Dairy-Free Ice Cream That Tastes Better Than the 'Real' Thing" will be available for sale and signing.
